I have never had a Dr provide such poor patient care or disregard for our time. Definitely would highly recommend someone else. He should be ashamed, he is an insult to his profession.
I have seen a heart Dr for years in Florence and many test done . after all test done, the Dr that i was seeing fail to see that the main vesal which was to my heart was 100% clod and done nothing about it.I had another heart attack and Dr.schoolmeester- seen me and to his unbelif he sent me back to provadince to see if anything could be done about it, and there was nothing that the surgon could do being it was clod for years. Dr. Schoolmeester- was very up front about my heart and trust his deseation and shows how much he cares about you. He is now my heart dr. And. I couldn't ask for any better!
Dr. Schoolmeester is the very BEST. I have been a nurse since 1982 and have personally been a patient for at least five years. My husband had a very RARE cardiac problem which claimed his life one year ago. Dr. Schoolmeester was always available to us 24 hours a day. We reside in Hartsville but the distance is WORTH the difference.Doc and his entire staff was ALWAYS there for us day and night during those five years. Even at the very end of my husband's cardiac life Doc was there to comfort my husband and me. Even after my husband died last November, I developed cardiac pain and he saw me ASAP. I knew my problem was ANXIETY but I wanted a cardiac cath. done to be sure. As a nurse, I was always afraid of this procedure, but it went as easy as possible and I was told that my heart was in great shape. Doc is an angel on this earth. I would NEVER ever use another cardiologist. He even took the time, months after my husband's death when I wasn't coping very well to take the time to see me and wipe my tears away. HE WILL ALWAYS be MY DOCTOR.....This is coming from a nurse that has seen it all in the cardiac units and charts....Dr. Schoolmeester is the VERY BEST.
Dr. Schoomesser and his staff are awesome. Our family appreciates them for their professional and caring way they have taken care of us. They seem more like family.

Wife was admitted to hospital on Thursday evening for some testing. On Friday am she was given a stress test and pending results she was going to be released. Dr Schoolmeester was supposed to read results, we waited all day because we were told he was too busy to review test results at the moment. Finally after 5 pm we asked what was going on and we were told that he left for the day, so she would have to spend another night. We said that we weren't doing that and asked to get her signed out. The PA at the hospital called the Dr at home where he sent over his release verbally.
