AGAIN, for the third time - practically chasing this practice to take my money for annual services that surely would have been $500 in their pocket and a long-term client - I called and spoke with Alicia, who put me on hold, and after 2 minutes of waiting I was disconnected - or, hung up on.
called to make appointment took 5 days for anyone to call me back, potential new client needing Chiropractic work on show horse. Office staff wasn't helpful , not friendly almost to point of being rude. Not impressed with how low importance we were to potential be a great client. CUSTOMER service goes a long way , When VET called and I explained she did care and didn't offer apology for the length of time nothing didn't seem to care. Would it be the same way if they came out or I hauled to them? Just not worth the risk .
Five vets in this practice. They all really care about the horses and owners in their care
We moved to SC a year ago. Our experience has been short of amazing. Yes you wait a few days for a vet to call you to ROUTINE schedule procedures. Emergencies and previous routine procedures come first. If they are delayed on your scheduled day.. They constantly call or text their ETA. IF an emergency arises on your scheduled or time .The office calls to notify you that they are delayed or need to reschedule. Not sure why some clients think their SHOW horse is special and needs Chiproractic work STAT when they are dealing with more urgent things like colic, laminitis, lacerations etc. People need to be realistic and sometimes there are more important fish to fry first. I have had emergencies and they always got here as promptly as they could. Their bedside manner and communication is top notch.
I called to schedule an appointment and was told by a young lady that she would give my information to the vets and have one who could service my gelding and I give me a call. I recieved a call from a number while I was at work some time later that left no message, and I could not dial the number back to return it. Again, I called the clinic and spoke with another woman - Alicia - and told her of my previous call. She told me she would figure out which vet had made the call if any and be in touch.
This clinic seriously needs to get its priorities in order. Possibly actually allow its receptionists to schedule appointments themselves, or hire a more competent one. 3 different days during 3 different calls for a client that was already in their database - not even a new client - and they ran me around. Not worth the irritation and disrespect! I will use a clinic in Aiken that will gladly have me as a client.
I used this clinic when a co-worker and friend of mine was an associate here. She, naturally, was fantastic to me and my horse, and the clinic offered great prices, so when she moved to another state, I was convinced I'd keep using South Carolina Equine Associates.
